Hi,

I had the same problem and then I noticed in one of Kraznet's tutorials that he said to leave the first few bars blank in case you decide later that you want to insert a little something at the beginning. Remember, where you start does not really make any difference so long as you start everything from that point.

I use the metronome and count off 4 bars. You could also record a voice track to count down if you want and set the playback cursor to maybe about 2 bars and count down to give yourself time. You do need the click to help, so use the metronome.

If you want to only record in the middle somewhere but do not want anything to interfere with the in and out locations of the recording, use Punch In and Punch Out markers. See the manual for this and try it.
