Can't get audio play from Sound Forge

This is a first. I am not getting Sound Forge to play any audio.

All audio on my computer works fine, only happening in Sound Forge. There seems to be a new part in the SF Setup that I don't know about.

@carlmart Which audio device is selected in the Program Preferences? Try, for example, Microsoft Sound Mapper and press the Apply button, after switching the Sound Device for it to be activated.

Assuming the audio files load and the waveform displays normally,
Are the playback meters showing activity?
Do PCM (.wav) audio files playback normally?

You are not stating much information for us to go on, please be more specific. What do you mean by "a new part in the SF Setup"?

Well, I don't know how but things got fine again: Sound Forge is outputting audio as it did.

My guess is it was some Windows updating that was not complete and got finished. And it restored things back they should.

Can't think of another explanation, because I have been using SF for years, since its first versions, and never had happened anything like this.
