i've seen a bunch of tutorials for sony vegas but not for move edit pro. sorry if this is a newbie question

1. Look under effects. There you find the whole variety of effects which also might solve your problem.
2. Sure, the demo videos give you only an elementary introduction to MEP 15? / 16?, but have a look at all the workshops which might give you a deeper insight into MEP.
