Can Power Point slides with animation be recorded for use in MAGIX Edit Pro?

Trying to record powerpoint slides WITH the programmed animations for use in MAGIX Edit Pro 14. Have tried the SCREEN CAPTURE feature but it doesn't recognize the ".ppt" file extension. Is there a way to do this using MAGIX Edit Pro, or a way to record it with other software that provides a file that can be migrated into MAGIX Edit Pro 14?

Hi,

the only way is to record is with the screen capturing tool. If this makes sense is an other question....But the .ppt has nothing to do with recording it. You record while your files of the ppt are fullscreen and receive a video file...

Hi there,

Ultimately, in order to use the Power Point presentation within the context of Movie Edit Pro, you need a motion video file of it. The PPT file from Power Point (which is essentially just a script of instructions for Power Point) and a video file are two very different worlds. A screen capture of your Power Point presentation (while it is being displayed by Power Point) would be the way to connect these two worlds. If you have the "Plus" version of Movie Edit Pro 14, a screen capture/recording tool is built into the program. Otherwise, you might want to use a free screen capture solution like CamStudio and save the result in a suitable video format that can be imported into Movie Edit Pro (e.g. WMV).

I hope this helps.
