Absolutely.  You can put photos in the tracks just like movies and audio.  In fact you can mix photos with movies and put background music, transition effects, labels, etc., etc.  It works great for making photo shows and then burning them to DVD.  It is not easy to get great subtle effects, so you should get to know this forum and the forum at support.magix.net.
