I''m using MAGIX Rescue your videotapes and I'm trying to de-clutter my hard drive. The mxv files in the 'My Record' folder seem to be taking up a lot of space and I wanted to ask you if I could delete them or i it necessary to keep them in order to stlll me able to use/burn my mxy project to dvd?

Hi

They are the recordings from your tapes (unless you selected another format to record in).  If you are definitely, 100%absolutely certain that you will not need them ever again then delete them.

Best to back them up either to DVD or external hard drive if you need to clear space on your hard drive
