Can I convert .vis files to .mxv files?

If not, how do I use vis files in the MX version? It would seem a shame to have lost this graphic feature from so many of the old songs I've created in 16 and 17.

It is on page 233 of the manual installed on your computer. - Start button, Programs, Magix, Music Maker, Documentation.

Actually John, the manual is wrong. it was apparently not updated, at least in that section, from MM17. MX uses a different file format and apparently is not compatibale with .vis files in any intuitive and obvious way. That's why I posed the question.

Looking into this more I am not surprised that the Visuals have been changed to mvx files as these are a format which can be exported from Movie Edit Pro. This would make sense with rationalisation of cross product compatability, eg MMM can import video files so you can add soundtracks.

You can create your own visuals using MEP and export them as mxv here is an short example of a visual created in MEP, imported into an arrangement in MMM and then exported as a wmv.
