Here is where you can find windows 8 compatibility information.  When I look it up, Xtreme photo story has a question mark beside it, when you click the question mark you get a screen that says something like get a paid upgrade but check it out yourself.

This does not necessarily mean it won't work so you could try it, but there is a good possibility that it won't.
