CAN CHANNELS ON MY MIXER BE ASSIGNED TO THE SAME CHANNELS ON SAMPLITUDE MUSIC STUDIO' S MIXER SO THAT EACH INDIVIDUAL PIECE CAN BE RECORDED AND EQ'D SIMULTANIOUSLY  AT THE SAME TIME OR DOES THE WHOLE BAND HAVE TO BE RECORDED ALL ON ONE CHANNEL IN THE SOFTWARE

i am wondering if i can get each component in my band to a different channel on the softwares mixer like it is on my mixer , which is the interface i;m using , I.E., R BASS DRUM CH.1, LEFT BASS DRUM CH.2 ,TOM 1 CH.3,  ETC.

In order to do this, your mixer must support multitrack recording over USB, FireWire, etc. Take a look at your mixer's manual to see if it supports multitrack recording. You may need to buy a different mixer or audio interface to accomplish this.
