When burning my 8 minute video it takes over 18 minutes to burn to dvd is this normal? Is there a faster way.

that depends on your burning speed, are you at about 2x? You don't necessarily want to
burn any faster. If by that you are including the encoding speed as well, try to help your
computer by reducing the applications you have running whilst you are doing this.
If encoding is relatively quickl you could conceivably increase burn speed, but don't OD it.
Burning DVDs is not necessarily a quick process though.
