Burned DVD will play in one device but not another

I ?successfully? burned a home movie dvd that will play in my portable dvd player just fine but not my home player.
The thing is, my home player plays this same media when burned using other software, just not dvd's made through Magix.
Any help would be appreciated.

Morbotron answered a similar question that might pertain to you. He said:
"Movie Edit Pro burns region free discs. Maybe your DVD player can't play region free discs - Sony is particularly notorious for not allowing this, supposedly to "combat piracy"."

Sounds like that might be your problem.

Unless I'm mistaken... 1 click DVD does not create region free disks but is more of a copy utility. I think that 'region free' may still be your problem.

Just in case it's not... what symptoms are you having? Does the player not recognise the DVD altogether or is it able to load menu only? Please describe in detail your trouble.
