I just downloaded the trial version in order to test the ability of entering Chinese or Japanese via the editor in order to have a video with these Asian characters.  I also failed to have these Asian fonts remain in the subtitle.  This is a disappointment.  The old version of  Video on CD 2005 had that capability; having made many music videos with English, Chinese and Japanese in the same subtitle.  If my test had been equally successful, I would have purchased the software on disk.  Now I am looking for another similar editor that can handle Asian Fonts in a Windows 7 machine.  Any suggestions?

I would rather buy Magix movie edit pro 16 plus,

and handle the subtitle via VideoStudio Pro x 3 (Corel)

( of course I will export the clips as a movie first )

Pro x 3 is very user-friendly & can support Chinese,but it has a very

poor chroma key effect & with only 7 video tracks , 2 title tracks, 4 audio tracks

( Power Director can also support Chinese, but it is not as versatile as Magix )

It is rather unstable. I owned it since the old version 11 plus.

It cant edit old videos created by old versions
