You recently updated the Movie Edit Pro 16 by a patch and now your video projects are corrupted and the program crashes?
First, I would assume that perhaps something during the patch installation has corrupted the program. You might want to back up all your projects and material to be safe, and reinstall the Movie Edit Pro 16 from the disc again.
This would at least get you to the point before the crashing happened.
Next, if you update the program with the patch then make sure nothing else is running in the background. It could be that a startup application has caused a corruption on the previous patch installation.
I am running Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus, with all patches and I find it pretty stable, so I am confident it is not a error in terms of the patch itself, but to be on the safe side, I recommend reinstalling the program.
Just please make sure that you have backed up any material you have saved that is within the MAGIX folders, as they will be overwritten during re-installation.
With the vast amount of systems and configurations it is sometimes impossible to just post a fix all solution to what can be causing the problem with your crashing.
For serious issues such as crashing you should create a ticket with the Magix support team. It is free and they are always willing to help.
support.magix.net and then choose the create email support.
Further as John noted it is always advisable to create a backup copy of your projects.
From the file menu in the program:
Backup copy,
copy all media and project into a folder (first option).
