Best video format for photos Photostory 2017

Hi what's the best video format for a photo slide show--need optimal resolution--use on a projector--have tried Quicktime 1920x... which seems OK but large files.like 3 GB for 800MB of photos--NO music or effects,only crossfades

Also how to see the file names on the photos in timeline view? could see it on Photo..2015 easy

The most universal format is MPEG-4 (mp4). Export as MP4 Full HD at the appropriatre framerate for you location.

They are there, you need to zoom in to expand the view so the objects are long enough for the file name to appear - see image below

That is about the correct size for good quality video - image sizes and video sizes have no relation to each other, video file size is determined by resolution, video bitrate, length of the movie and compression format used.
