I have a rode mic and am using an m-audio controller. The vocal recording sound I get in Magix music maker is terrible, very low volume and tinny. I've downloaded the driver for vista and tried all sorts of adjustments but nothing works. Any ideas?
I guess your problem does'nt come from MMM but surely from the tuning of the audio controller on its control panel or perhaps your mic.
What exact reference of mic and audio controller have you?
What kind of mic? Does your mic need a Phamton supply?
Have you a dedicated microphone input on your controler with an integrated microphone preamplifier?
What kind of hardware input do you use? line, microphone? Plugged with XLR, jack?
What option do you use in MMM and on your controller : mono or stereo? Try both options.
What recording input is selected in the control panel of your controller?
If you use the microphone input, have you check if the +20 dB option is on?
Have you adjust the recording input level on the panel control of your controller?
Try to use an other software to record, like AUDACITY (free) or Magix Music Editor. Is there a difference? Normaly no, it depends essentialy on your mic and audio controller adjustments.
