AVCHD editing is very skippy and choppy on a super fast cpu.

I have a new i7 cpu and 9 gigs of ram with a GTX Geforce Graphics card. Also I own a Canon HG20 with avchd. I copied it to my computer and I try to edit but it will not play smoothly. I downloaded all the drivers for it. I know it's not my computer...

I tried everything I could think of and I put it down to quarter rez and it still can't pull through for me. The cpu says: 14% and then sky high to 100%
on Magix's. Then on my moniter meter it still stays at 14%

Whats up?

Hi there,

What version of Movie Edit Pro are you using? Do you use the MPEG-2 conversion or edit the material natively?

One thing you should definitely do is going into the program settings/display settings and enabling the hardware accelerated video mode for the realtime preview in the arranger. Should be the default mode. However, if it was accidentally disabled, a complete performance breakdown for HD editing wouldn't be surprising.
