Hello. Can I record and edit video's in this(AVCDH) format in Magix Video easy Rescue your videotapes, Ver. 2.0.2.0 (UC1)?
If I can, how can I conect the camera to the program.
I have Win 7 and HDMI on my computer
My camera is Sony Handycam, HDR-XR200.
I think you can use them, but record them...
AVCHD is a digital format, you do not "record" them, you import them. I have three AVCHD cameras, each had their own cable that connected to the PC.
This allowed me to use the camera like a hard drive in fact, so inside the MAGIX software, i used the file manager to navigate to the "Drive" that was actually the AVCHD camera.
In your program, you would need to start a new project, then load files from the computer and find the connected Sony HDR-XR200.
Then you import the takes or recordings from there.
I use the Movie Edit Pro software mostly, but I have the trial for the Video Easy, and what I said above worked for me, and my Canon camera.

The file format of C:\........ cannot be read!
Please make sure that the drive is not full or write-protected.
I have much place in my computer for the file and many more, so it's not that. But I don't know hove I can check if it's write protected?
