Automatically lower volume button on soundtrack with sound from video

I have used other slideshow makers before and there have been a check box available with volume setting to automatically reduce the volume in the sound track when a video with talking is playing. I know I can manually cut the soundtrack and lower the volume but I have had to re import my soundtrack 2 times already as I have been editing because the cutting of the soundtrack became too choppy.

Is there a way to submit enhancements? then have us in the community vote on them? I have worked in the software business for over 25 years and every company has this option for customers to submit enhancements.

Hi

What you are looking for is the Volume curve - this allows you add add nodes (points) to the green audio volume line and move them to create a fade out/in and reduce the volume level.

See the short video below on how to apply the volume curve.

Note - you do need to be in Timeline mode and the volume curve can also be applied to an audio file.
