Audio does not play with video

when i try to add a home video to a slide show the visual part of the video plays but there is no audio with it. I can not find the answer.

We would need more information here - what file type is the video in question? If the sound associated with the file is Dolby Digital, unfortunately, I believe, Photostory 6 does not support Dolby Digital sound. You could contact the official support and see if there is a way to work around the problem:
