Audio Disappearing?!

I drag my intro, which I previously created and rendered in Sony Vegas, into my timeline.  I drag the rest of my video clips in and do the necessary editing.  I play the video the first time and the sound for my intro, the video itself, and my outro are all there and audible.  I do a few more fixes, play the video, and the sound for the intro is gone but present for the rest of the elements.

I recreate the intro in VPX6 and all seems well.  I'm practicing the program a few minutes ago and I use the VPX6 created intro, play it through once, audible, play it a  2nd and additional times, no audio!  WTF?!  I drag the Sony Vegas created intro over and the same thing happens.  Now, even after deleting it and dragging either one over and there is no audible sound.

The first video I created the other day with my new computer setup and VPX6 I experience the same thing but thought I got it working.  I rendered the video and uploaded to YouTube . . . no audio for the intro portion!

I'm stumped. Can't figure it out!

Well, I could be mistaken, but, it seems I found the issue.  I solved this, as far as I can tell from testing it all afternoon, once I downloaded the Main Concept MPEG-4 codec the problem has gone away.  After reading anything I could find it would seem the concensus is that Main Concept works much better than the inherent codec.  If this does indeed fix my issue I would have to agree!
