What's giving you the message; VideoEasy or Youtube?

All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.

VideoEasy. Don't think it went as far as Youtube or I would have been asked to log-on? This was my first use of Magix Video Easy so not sure of procedure but then this product is supposed to be easy to use?

Can you post a screenshot of the whole of the error message or, alternatively, copy the text of it to your next reply?

What is the source of the video, and what format is it?

I can make a screenshot but unable to place it here! Made it a PDF but can't send it as this format not accepted. After trying to finish the video again I get a completely different error message. This states that I have exceeded my Youtube getting started quota! I used mp4, mov, and jpg files to make the video. I have now saved video to computer and then uploaded to Youtube so I can do what I want this way but confused as to why not able to use the Magix software to upload to Youtube.

Save the screenshot to your computer (If you don't have a graphics program, you can use Microsoft Paint, in Windows Accessories).

Then start a new post in this topic and click on the upward-pointing arrow/icon. This will take you to the image/video upload feature.

I haven't heard of that one before but it sounds like a message from Youtube itself?

I have now saved video to computer and then uploaded to Youtube so I can do what I want this way but confused as to why not able to use the Magix software to upload to Youtube.

I haven't tried the YouTube upload function for some years, but with Movie Edit Pro at least, the function hasn't worked for some time. IIRC, YT keeps changing it's upload setup which messes with the Magix Upload feature.

I think the generally accepted wisdom now is to do as you have done; save your video to your computer and use the YT website uploader.

Hi.

To upload videos of more than 15 minutes duration or 256GB in size, you must have a verified YouTube account.

To have that you must follow the directions as shown here.

No video of over 12 hours duration is permissible.

There is also the following restriction.

To ensure safety at YouTube, we limit how many videos a channel can upload in a 24-hour period.

Limits may vary by country/region or channel history. Copyright strikes may impact channel history eligibility. Community Guidelines strikes will affect how much you can upload.

If you get an error saying 'Upload limit reached' when trying to upload a video, try again in 24 hours.

Try this page for preferred YouTube upload settings.

That page should be read carefully as there are bit rate minimum and maximum requirements as well as audio sampling requirements, colour space requirements, and acceptable encoded formats to use.

Ray.

Only 6 minutes long and I think only kb size but maybe because I uploaded earlier Youtube think I exceeded limit. Anyway as previous reply storing video from Magix to computer then uploading to Youtube worked and that is all I needed. Thanks for all responses.
