I have started using movie studio 2025 Might be a holy grail question but wondered if it was possible to remove background noise from a video clip. Recorded a speech on my Sony Camera and unfortunately can hear kitchen staff banging plates cutlery in the background can I do anything to reduce that noise.

Hi,

Yes. There is a built-in Noise Reducer that you can use on the audio part or use a VST plugin at the track level using the Mixer FX.

Make sure to have Video/Audio on separate tracks (program settings or Ctrl+H). Double-click on the audio part to open the cleaning interface. Open the Noise reducer. I suggest that you read up on how to use in the manual then come back here if you have specific questions on how to use NR.

You may be able to reduce the banging plates etc. a bit, but it could require more work.
