I was creating a new movie from several sources which I used before in other movies. However, some of them showed visible artifacts (small blocks in matching colors instead of details pixels). First I thought this was caused because I used the original .mpg Magix created end product as source (although the scenes concerned play without any quality issues on the same PC). So I replaced them by the original source, like a .mts of 1920/1080 16238 kbps, 24 frames). Still the artefacts are visible while they are not in the full screen preview window in VideoDeluxe Premium. Version: 15.0.0.102 running on Windows 10 14393.1358 on a fast i7 system with ample memory and fast hard disks; hardware has not changed since a year.
I can minimize the effect using the following export:
Export/Mpeg 4 (not sure if this is better or equal to .mpg?) Resolution: 1920x1080 Framerate: 25 Image 16:9, Interlace progressive, Anti interlace checked. In Advanced I set Profile to High, level to 3.1, Coding quality to Best.
I've never seen quality issues with good quality source and export settings and as said, the same source material has been used without issues in an earlier movie. I also don't have an explanation why most scenes do not seem to have that same issue. Affected scenes sometimes do not have any effect etc applied, one or 2 do have proDad Mercalli v4 applied (where others with the same effect look good).
Another small issue: I ended one scene with the transition effect abexplode. On the preview I can clearly see white text on the bottom dissolve, after which black "shards" finally dissolve the picture. But on the export, the black "shards" do nothing and the rest of the picture remains visible until it ends. How is this possible?
