I don't use Rescue but suspect you may be confusing an 'import' which is usually the term for adding content, and 'Open' which is the Windows standard for returning to a project created by some program. In the context of Magix Movie Edit Pro, I might import several video clips or perhaps some still images and then save the arrangement as a project. If later I want to do further work on the project I'd got to 'File' >> 'Open' and find my arrangement of clips and still as I had saved them. I would not be able to 'Import' a project.
