Additional Styles in Soundtrack Maker

Hi

I'm using Photostory Deluxe Version 17.1.4.152 for a one hour slideshow and would like to use the Soundtrack Maker to create background music for it. However, I find the selection of Styles (Classical, Funky, Relaxed, Spirited and Sportive) somewhat limited. In Help for this feature, it says "First choose a music style. Clicking on "Buy more styles" will open the Magix Online Content Library". However, when I open the Soundtrack Maker, I see no option to "Buy more styles". I'm wondering if this is an option that used the old Catooh system for obtaining additional content; if so, does anyone know if I purchase a style from Catooh is it will work with the current version of Photostory? I see additional Soundtrack styles on the Catooh site but don't want to purchase anything if it won't work...

I also don't see any specific mention of Soundtrack Styles in the new Magix Store that is available from within the program. Am I missing something here?

Any help is appreciated.

Barry

Hi

Photostory has not quite caught up with other Magix products in having a Store tab to purchase extras from.

Currently, more Soundtrack Maker styles are available from Catooh.

If you purchase more styles, please note it is your responsibility to maintain a backup copy of the style(s) installer you purchase.

Thanks John. I appreciate your quick response. In my version of Photostory, there are options to purchase additional effects, transitions, music etc. It appears to be very similar to what I see under the Store tab in VideoPro X. That's what led to my question about additional Soundtrack styles.

I'll go the Catooh route for now. Thanks again.

Hi John

It's version 17.1.4.152. I purchased it in April 2018.

@bcf1ca

Hi

Thanks for the info - that is the same as mine.

I think it may have been my interpretation of

. . . . It appears to be very similar to what I see under the Store tab in VideoPro X . . . .

was that you were seeing a proper Store tab as in VPX, rather than the 2 options highlighted in the image below whose contents are similar to the Store tab in VPX.

Yes, Magix's consistent inconsistency strikes again 😄.
