So, Is this an actual promotion? Fake? Geolocked?

SteveG123 wrote on 3/30/2020, 1:42 PM

I have the same problem. Is there a valid code?

johnebaker wrote on 3/30/2020, 3:28 PM

@james-h, @SteveG123

Hi

If you click the orange button Quick Buy with 90% discount it takes you to the Magix online store and applies the code.

Hi John EB, yes, that is what is supposed to happen, but it's not working correctly. I've even tried clearing cookies as the ivoicesoft webpage suggested. Is there anyone you can refer us to?

james-h wrote on 3/30/2020, 6:15 PM

@johnebaker

This method doesn't work. Is there anyway we can buy this on another platform at this price?

Thanks.

johnebaker wrote on 3/30/2020, 6:19 PM

@SteveG123

Hi

Works fine for me using Firefox

If you look at @james-h first post it also worked for him.

Are you getting a pop up saying allow popup or similar?

The exact message and location where it appears will depend on the browser you are using.

@johnebaker

It didn't actually work. I've tried it just now on Firefox and the same thing happens. It populates your cart as in your photo but when you click "Continue" the red prompt box appears; And when you try to enter the promo code manually, it just reverts back to the red prompt box.

SteveG123 wrote on 3/30/2020, 7:06 PM

James-h I have been getting the same errors you have. I don't see any links on the webpage or Magix site to report the error. I don't know how to find the right people who can fix the broken shopping cart page. Any ideas?

SteveG123 wrote on 3/30/2020, 7:10 PM

JohnEB - what happens when you hit Continue on your screen example? I can get the same screen you show, but hitting Continue is where the problem shows up. Who in Magix could help with the error on the shopping cart page?

None unfortunately, hoping someone at Magix can enlighten us. ⏰

@SteveG123, @SteveG123

I see the problem you are having now.

I think Invoice soft may have jumped the gun on this one, it is not April 1st yet and have got their coupon page wrong - the code works for Acid Pro 10 and gives a 20% discount.

Until I get a reply - keep a copy of the discount code.

I have put in a Support request.

Well, that's disappointing.

SteveG123 wrote on 3/31/2020, 9:25 AM

@james-h Maybe not - sounds like the Acid Pro 9 for $14.99 will take effect tomorrow, April 1. Or at least for their two most loyal customers :)

james-h wrote on 3/31/2020, 1:08 PM

I hope so!

Does anyone know if Pro 9 ever got patched to support the drag and drop of MP3's? Been reading up on it but the answers are a bit sparse, kind of a deal breaker for me.

james-h wrote on 4/1/2020, 4:01 AM

.... Well, April fools is here and they had us fooled into thinking these deals were real! They are still all over the internet advertising 90% off.

james-h wrote on 4/1/2020, 4:37 AM

@SteveG123

It's an older version, but apparently the most stable post Pro 7 version, £10 for this bundle...

SteveG123 wrote on 4/1/2020, 7:47 AM

@james-h any idea if that fanatical offer is legit? Looks almost too good to be true...

james-h wrote on 4/1/2020, 9:28 AM

It's 100% legit. I've bought it & installed it. (ver 8.0.10)

You get the license key in your ''Fanatic'' account. They show you how to connect to Magix, they (magix) in turn send you an e-mail with the download links and serial/licenses.

I looked into Fanatic.com, they are mainly for gaming, but all reviews, ratings etc are all testament to their legitimacy. They only provide licenses that they've acquired direct from the devs.

Knock yourself out!

Thanks for the info - I'm downloading now... It's Acid 8, but still an upgrade for me (stone age Sony Acid 7). JohnEB, thanks for trying to help out.

@SteveG123 Nice one, let me know how you get on.

@james-h. @SteveG123

Hi

I have had a response from Magix on the Acid pro 9 90% off offer - it is a special offer for users who by special hardware in a store. They will get a voucher code to get this discount.

No details of what the hardware they purchase is or which stores are participating.

I also found that the ivoicesoft offer has been changed to expire on the 2nd April
