acid pro 365 freezes up

acid pro 365 keeps freezing up or hangs up (what ever) when i click on the buttons(mixer,tracks,everything ) the cursor keeps going round and round .any suggestions!!

I loved acid back in the day, I was stoked to get back into it but the crashes make it completely unusable.. Especially when I try to produce the record stop effect with the vibrato plugin. Same as Vegas.. It's frustrating
