AAC import on Audio Cleaning Lab 17

Hi Guys, I've downloaded a trial version of ACL 17. It states it can import AAC files - which I believe is what iTunes uses (.mp4) but I do not seem to be able to open them in ACL. Can ACL import these files without having to convert them first or is AAC different to mp4 ??

the activation from encode isn't possible in the trialversion.

MP4 and AAC are not the same. MP4 is a "lossless" converted format. AAC is a "lossy" converted format.

ACL-17 supports AAC but does not support MP4 file formats. If you want to use MP4 files in ACL-17, you will have to convert them to a supported format first.
