A soundpool item in MMM15 Premium is starting to playback choppy.

I am running MMM15 Premium with an Athlon 64x2 dual core 4200+ 2.2 GHz processor. I have 3 GB of RAM. I am working on my first project and I have just tried to add a Choir track form the soundpool. It plays smoothly when sampled, but plays choppy in the arranger. All other previous tracks, including 2 other Choir tracks play fine. If I start a new file and put the problematic choir track in the arranger by itself, it plays fine. Another user suggested downloading a universal asio driver, but that made everything play worse. Also, there is an option for magix 2008 Low Latency driver, but this was as slow as the asio driver. Is it possible that I am reaching a track limit for this song? I was planning on adding many more tracks, so I have become quite frustrated. Thank you for any advice you can give....Jeff

Hi,
If ASIO and makes things worse then you have a processing problem (unfortunately common with AMD processors). If the universal ASIO did not solve the problem then I would suggest increasing your audio buffers in Magix.

You ARE NOT reaching any capacity withing Music Maker itself because it would max out tracks before your audio capacity (in theory). Experiment with your buffers and let me know.

This may also be a limitation of your sound card and it may be time for a good audio interface.

Also go into the System Properties in your Windows Control Panel and set windows to focus on background tasks. That will dedicate more processing power to audio applications.

You should also install new drivers for your sound and video (yes video!) from the manufacturers web site.

Shutdown as many programs running in the background as possible.

If that doesn't work then consider a external audio interface, I have a few I can recommend. Do you have Firewire?
