A problem with and a question about Web Designer Premium 17

Chris-Bell wrote on 7/7/2020, 3:17 AM

When viewed in Google Chrome, the manufacturing videos that have been imported into several pages of one of our main client’s website do not play. Instead, the message ‘Adobe Flash Player is blocked’ appears. How do we get over this?

I need to include an enquiry button on every page which automatically includes the page name and, once completed route back to a specific email address. Is there a standard template for this or can you help?

@Chris-Bell

Hi and welcome to the forum.

. . . . Instead, the message ‘Adobe Flash Player is blocked’ appears. . . .

That is a common issue not just with Chrome - most modern browsers block Flash Player - it was deprecated in 2017 for web use is officially end-of-life on December 31, 2020. It should no longer be used in a web site.

All modern browsers support the HTML 5 standard which does not need a player such as Flash, however the video files should be mp4, h.264, streamable file format - this is the most universal format

. . . . the manufacturing videos . . . .

Are they produced by yourself or from a video company - if by yourself what video editor are you using?

Note: modern browsers will, by default, block auto play of the videos until the viewer clicks on the page.
