A few questions for a beginner, fx, synths

Andres-Meza wrote on 5/6/2022, 12:04 AM

In this picture, at 1 I can assign effects to the entire plethora of audio tracks, and I have two soft synths that at 5 I cannot assign effects. At 3 when I arm to record at 4, the recording goes onto 3 and does not have sound. Does it record what I hear or what output is going on? Ignore 2. Basically, I'm asking when I insert a soft synth in an audio track, can I assign fx just to that audio track; and how do I record successfully? Acid Pro 10 does not seem to have many high quality tutorials.

1, a tiny display is really not suitable for a DAW presentation.

2, be aware what is midi-track, audio-track, bus-track...

3, the best tutorial is the user manual.

hi @Yelandkeil

I answered the FX question for another forum user a couple months back, as a video response. You can find that video here

The arm for record question I'm not sure I understand. For me if i have multiple midi tracks, arm one for record, then hit record on the timeline Acid will automatically create a new midi event on any tracks armed for record, and save midi data to it. So, just make sure you have the right track armed for record.
