hyker,

Can't say for Pro X6, but MEP 2015 pdf help file has quite a bit of depth adjustment -- particularly about cautioning against exaggeration.

  • Stay within limits during recording: To make a 3D recording (view page 191) with realistic depth information, certain limits must be respected. The most important rule is not to go below the point of minimum distance. Minimum point is the point in the picture, where the camera is the closest.
  • Frame closest point: In order to place the 3D effect behind the imaginary frame, both image components must over lay each other exactly at the closest point. At the same time, the same objects must be visible at the edges of both partial images, for which, if needed, you can use the Cropping function in the Media Pool (view page 134).
  • Maintain realistic eye angles: Object with a 3D depth effect viewed as a red/cyan image (Anaglyph) without glasses will appear displaced. This displacement should, if possible, take up less than 1/30 of the entire image. Otherwise, it will appear that the eyes are looking in different directions.

There is a window for making adjustments:

Hope this helps,

Carl

The answers I am gewtting all refer to the box that helps conform the images and video as corrected stereo pairs.  The do not adjuast the depth.  At least I cannot do it.  I am not trying to increase the depth I am trying to decrease it to make s3D file for viewring on larger screens.  I can do this with sony Vegas pro 10 and up, but Magix is earier to use, if it would do this one thing also.
