I’ve had Acid Pro 10 installed for a couple of weeks now. It is installed on a new PC with everything having the latest drivers. I use a MOTU 8A audio interface and Waves plugins. Everything was going well until I began rendering projects last night. At least half of the projects would not render at all. The render window would pop up, it would begin calculating the time to render, but would go no further. The program would become unresponsive and I would have to start task manager and end the AP process. It repeated this process multiple times until eventually an error message began popping while launching Acid and the system would crash every time. I have not changed anything, not added new plugins, etc. Eventually I had to uninstall AP and reinstall it multiple times before finally getting it to work again. The error message indicated a problem with the audio drivers but I have not changed anything and it was working fine for the 2 weeks prior. Is this normal behavior for AP?? Wow!
