Musicmaker deluxe 16 doesnot recognize duplicate files

Having a collection of about 67.000 music files, mostly mp3's, after a veeerrrryyy looooong timespan all registered in the database, I can see clearly within MM16 on screen several filenames that are exactly the same, and are located in different directories within the collection. Nevertheless, menu->my music->search for duplicate tracks returns with no duplicate names found... Why, oh why?

system:
pc windows 7 64 bits (classification 5.9)
Intel quad cpu 4x2.4 GHz
memory 8GB
lots of HD space

In addition: the user should have the possibility to choose for searching:
1. whether or not the metadata are used in finding duplicate files or at least with less priority. Metadata are not very reliable.
2. Higher priority to more or less exact filenames,
3. including playing time.
4. high or low priority for the filepath.

These choices would give the user more opportunity to do a multiple search for duplicate files.
