THIS IS THE SECOND PART OF THE OPERA. the part is a long track. Public here, even for people who are not part of the community and who are waiting to hear the concert.

In February Franco Galateo published his album “Una Storia Fantastica” on Reverbnation. Then the idea of ​​doing a "live performance" was born, the result of a collaboration between Franco Galateo and Sandro Glavina L'Uomo e L'Ombra. The opera was supposed to go online at Mitsmagica Theater Jamendo but for technical reasons the programming was repeatedly postponed and, in the end, deleted. But nothing is thrown away and therefore, arriving at the end of 2020, the performance is here in the Magix.Info Community.

And now, to facilitate the understanding of the various scenes of the epic-prog opera (in three parts), entirely instrumental, here is the plot.

PLOT OF THE OPERA “A FANTASTIC STORY”

Unspecified year on an unspecified planet ...

A cruise ship quickly sinks during a very strong storm and only an elderly person and a few children escape to safety in a lifeboat and land on a lonely, lush island.

Years go by, with the elder who looks after and educates the children who become adolescents.

One night, suddenly, a volcanic eruption destroys the vegetation of the island. Animals die. The elder is unable to save themselves, the boys find refuge not far from the destroyed huts, in the cave where the supplies of food and other things necessary for survival accumulated over the years were stored.

After some time and before the resources run out, the boys decide to leave the island in search of a new land, but to do so they have to reach the beach where the lifeboat that saved them during the shipwreck is.

Carrying food and water supplies, children face the path full of pitfalls: lava flows in the petrified forest, ambushes of small poisonous reptiles that survived the eruption.

They succeed in the enterprise and set sail. After a couple of days of navigation, even escaping the attack of aggressive fishing birds, pushed by currents and a strong wind, they arrive on the shores of a lush island.

For a short time they rest and refresh themselves. But their goal is to return to the volcanic island bringing with them provisions and above all seeds and sprouts to revitalize the island's vegetation. And so they prepare to sail the sea again.

Poi nacque l’idea di fare una "performance live", frutto di una collaborazione tra Franco Galateo e Sandro Glavina L’Uomo e L’Ombra. Il lavoro doveva andare online al Mitsmagica Theater di Jamendo, ma per motivi tecnici slittò più volte la programmazione e infine non fu fatta.  Ma nulla si butta e allora, arrivando alla fine del 2020, la performance è qui nella Magix.Info Community.

E ora, per facilitare la comprensione delle varie scene dell'opera epico-prog (in tre parti), interamente strumentale, ecco la trama:

TRAMA DELL’OPERA “UNA STORIA FANTASTICA”

Anno imprecisato su di una pianeta imprecisato…

Una nave da crociera affonda rapidamente durante una fortissima burrasca e solamente un anziano e alcuni bambini si mettono in salvo su di una scialuppa e approdano ad un’isola solitaria e rigogliosa.

Passano gli anni, con l’anziano che accudisce e educa i bambini che divengono adolescenti.

Una notte, improvvisamente, un’eruzione vulcanica distrugge la vegetazione dell’isola. Periscono gli animali. L’anziano non riesce a mettersi in salvo, i ragazzi trovano rifugio nella caverna poco distante dalle capanne distrutte, in cui venivano conservate provviste alimentari e altre cose necessarie alla sopravvivenza, accumulate nel corso degli anni.

Trascorso del tempo e prima che le risorse si esauriscano, i ragazzi decidono di lasciare l’isola alla ricerca di una nuova terra, ma per farlo devono giungere alla spiaggia dove c’è ancora la scialuppa che li salvò durante il naufragio.

Portando scorte di cibo e acqua i ragazzi  affrontano il percorso pieno di insidie: colate di lava nella foresta pietrificata, agguati tesi da piccoli rettili velenosi sopravvissuti all’eruzione.

Riescono nell’impresa e salpano. Dopo un paio di giorni di navigazione, anche sfuggendo ad un attacco da parte di aggressivi uccelli pesci, sospinti da correnti e da un forte vento, giungono sulle rive di un’sola lussureggiante.

Per un breve periodo si riposano e si ristorano. Ma il loro obiettivo è fare ritorno all’isola vulcanica recando con sé provviste e soprattutto semi e germogli per rivitalizzare la vegetazione dell’isola. E così si apprestano a solcare nuovamente il mare.
