Patrick

I like the way your clever performance can make a tune in 4/4 fell like 3/4... amazing. I was not expecting percussion of that nature. I've often felt that the juxtaposition of delicate and non-delicate sonics leads to some unexpected results.

we could spend days and days on it hahaha

And well fetter,

You make me think of "Carl Nielsen", a composer, last year I expiated to students of the conservatory these same modal characteristics of which you speak, the first works for piano (before 1900), the tonal language Nielsen was very chromatic, often in combination with modal features. This harmonic approach is coherent on certain important points with certain stylistic techniques of the end of the 19th century. For example, the widespread use of chromaticism in inner voices, chromatic inflection as a modulating technique, as well as chromatic medial relations and modal harmony were evident in the music of Brahms and other romantic composers. Nevertheless, other harmonic characteristics, specific to Nielsen, appear.

Concerning the piano, that's it, here in this piece, the piano we hear is an existing loop of Magix, which I replayed myself in the same way, without thinking about all this theory but knowing the music, there is always a related logic in the composition, the creation or even in its execution,

very good observation fetter, very good

At first I thought the piano did not sound like your style of playing because it consisted of arpeggiated triads but then you said it was Magix loops so that is why. I like your instrumentation and especially the percussion.

Very nice

Trish

Thanks Trish, indeed, it is the instrumentation that takes precedence but not that loop stripped of all freedom of expression, good analysis, ;)
