We may use some "control channels" to chnage sound of VST

For instance , with space pad , i can select the filter with right click , choosing a "midi control" number" ( by instance 20 ) And if i return in the midi editor , selecting the contro channel 20 at the bottom of the midi editor . And if i am drawing a curve , it will change the filter when the midi file is played .

But i know in oyher midi programs , i can record directly the changes in real time .

I am expecting to play the midi file , turning the button of the filter in the GUI of the VST and it records midi events

How to proceed ?
