Vsts Disappear

Hello,

I have a new computer and reinstalled Magix Musix maker 64 bit. (29.06.36)

Some of my third party Vst's keep disappearing and are sometimes put on the Blacklist.

When i delete the Plugin scan vst files in the user area it sometimes works again.

On my old computer with the same build of Magix Music maker they work fine.

The latest update is already set.

How can this be solved?

@George-Langendoen Which black list? Maybe it has something to do with your firewall? Because plugins are DLL-files some firewalls are a little bit overprotective.

@SP. Thanks for the reply, but that's not what i meant.

On your HD go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\mm29.

There are 4 files : plugin_scan_state_VST2_x32.scan, plugin_scan_state_VST2_x64.scan , plugin_scan_state_VST3_x32.scan and plugin_scan_state_VST3_x64.scan.

You can open them with Notepad and the you can see which files are Blacklisted.

You can also delete those files, because they will be made again on start of MM 2021.

I have found a little workaround for now, and sometimes it works. (MM2021 is overprotective apparently)

I goto : C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Music Maker\29\MxSynth and put some of the vst in there.

It 's the default directory for Magix Music Maker original instruments, and so it "trust" what is in there.
