Issues with older demo songs

JayGee716 Posté à 28/12/2017 02:23

I have demo songs dating back to 2011. I'm currently using mmm 2018 and I added all the demo songs from all previous versions that I have.

Some of them though are not in .mmm format but in .wav. MMM cannot "break down" the various tracks as in the correct format but I don't know if there's a way to convert them from wav to mmm.

The reason I'm trying to do this is to study how the songs were put together.

Thanks

wav files are not demo songs.
Wav is like mp3 a format for the result of the project, not the project itself.

Hi

To add to Horsti12's comment:

WAV (and any other audio format file eg mp3, ogg, etc) contain no information on how the instruments are set up, what they are or any information about how they were created.

They are an end result of creating and mixing down of, for example, a Music Maker Project to the final audio file as left and right (stereo) (or L/R, FL/FR, RR/RL and Centre (Surround sound)) channels.

Once mixed down you cannot be 'undo' the exported file.

Yes, I'm aware of the difference in formats. Oh well. No big deal.

Thanks
