How can I recover the files in the VIDEO_TS-like folder gererated by Video Deluxe 2006 Plus after burning the DVD failed.

Everything was OK except that error while burning. It was an empty TDK DVD-RW.

I tried with Nero 6 (after renaming the folder to VIDEO_TS) but the DVD is not readable on my Sony DVD burner. The DVD(-RW) that I produced works well on my PC including the menus. I would avoid the lengthy (7 hours or so) repetition without guarantee it will work better.

As a complement to the two answers, I can say that the NeroVision solution worked finally. I had simply to select the VOB files corresponding to the contents but avoiding the VOB cooresponding to the menu. NeroVision allowed to build a new menu. The only problem: I lost the chapters of the films.

Magix software builds a .iso file with the name of your project  -> "yourprojectname.iso"

find this .iso file and you will be able to burn it again and again and again....

Thank you for your suggestion. This may be true for a more recent version but not for 2006. There is a yourprojectname folder with inside the same files as on the future DVD (plus a contents.pls file that doesn't seem compatible with the video DVD specification) but burning simply a data DVD doesn't work (there is even a message issued by Nero 7, not Nero 6 as said erroneously in my first message, specifying that the DVD may not work). I have considered Nero Vision but then the menu will have to be rebuilt. I have not considered upgrading because the pc with firewire ports is rather old.

I Have 2005 and 2006 and both are building a "myprojectname.iso" before burning the dvd. This .iso file is somewhere on the hard dirve but i don't remember where... Search all ".iso" file on your computer and you will find all your moovies.
