Reinstall MAGIX Movie Edit Pro Premium 2022

Ryan-Hoban escrito el 05.04.AM a las 05:34 horas

I'm trying to reinstall my copy of movie edit pro premium 2022. I bought it shortly before they changed the name to Movie Studio. It will not install all the way; I keep getting error that it is corrupted. I have tried downloading the software several times to no avail. I'm on windows 11. I recently purchased an internal PCIe SSD which I'm now using Win 11 on. I had no trouble installing it on this system before. It worked fine. How do I actually contact tech support? Is anyone else having this issue? Am I entitled to the latest version with the new name "Movie Studio" since I bought it only 1 month before?

In over a decade, I have yet to have a corrupted installer when downloading and installing any products.

If I was having this issue,I would try turning off any antivirus or disable any Windows defender or equivalent settings while downloading the program.

if you have a third party firewall, you might try temporarily turning that off as well.

@Antiguo usuario

In over a decade, I have yet to have a corrupted installer when downloading and installing any products.

I don't see how this is relevant. It is clear that something recently has changed for the worst in the Magix coding of the installers, given the number of very recent posts about this. An installation program that costs money should not have failures of this nature.

I agree with your advice as a workaround but saying "it worked in the past" comes across as blaming the user.

All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.

@Ryan-Hoban

Movie Studio is the "new name" for Movie Edit Pro. The programs are identical so there is no point at all in attempting to download and install the latest version with the new name "Movie Studio" since I bought it only 1 month before?

The most common reason for this problem is because the firewall or antivirus of the user's computer seems to believe that one or more files needed by the installer is "dangerous" and so blocks it/them. As already advised, try turning them off and check whether the download and installation are able to successfully complete. Just don't forget to turn them back on again afterwards!
