Working in purchased Premium it crashes it either freezes or shuts down. Re starting starts in the free version and won.t go to Premium having to exit several times to restarting PC to get Premium running again, becoming very frustrating. Re set program did not fix the problem. ( 64 bit V30.01.23 )
Just tried the clean up store and that made the problem again. Is this prob because I upgraded from the free version ? its starting to piss me off

@coneman Okay, you use a browser (a different program) but Music Maker must connect to your Magix account or else it will only work as a free version. You can see that it is connected when your e-mail address is showing in the top right corner of the program. If you are not connected there should be a link for logging in.
Its like Hit and miss at the moment. back on with Premium. How long who knows. Do not understand why I need be connected to internet (maybe for updates)
@coneman Ok. Just remember the store clean up in the program settings if you're not able you log in. This will mostly help.
If you like the object based workflow of Music Maker you could also switch to Samplitude Music Studio which does the same but is much more powerful and runs more stable and doesn't need to stay online after registration. You can get version 2019 at the moment at Humble Bundle with SoundForge Pro, Acid Music Studio and a lot of plugins for just about $20.
You should also be able to use the two dozen Vita instruments that come with Music Studio 2019 in your version of Music Maker.
Even online as I am most the time. But it crashes, not much good. Magix need to fix the problem. Pays to read the fine print. Thats if this condition to use Magix is at all mentioned.

What is your computer specification - see this topic for details of what is required - please quote processor and graphics card make/models in full?
Check that your Antivirus is not blocking the Updater software which is part of Music Maker.

OK My PC is able to run demanding software win 10 pro,32 gigs ram etc, will go through trouble shooting see if the problem is at my end. Thanks for all reply's. Joe

It is Happening again. Crashes, restart only goes to free version, did all the program reset/ store no go but now it wont even let me sign in, this is BS. This is the message I get .. Looks like a problem with the Magix server. They were acting oddly earlier but seem ok now.

The program has to go online for a licence check. This fairly standard procedure for a lot of modern software to counter pirating of software.

No. The version that is installed is always the free version as that is the only version. You then download and install the additional content relating to the edition that has been bought.
