The double or triple click to select I.e. all data of a channel is still insanely fast on 16.1. Too fast for my old bones. Isn't there a command to assign a shortcut?
Windows click-speed settings have little to do with that behavior in SF-16. This issue has been reported to the developers and hopefully it will be fixed in the next update.
Has the ability to organise your favourite plugins been removed?
I noticed a recent update had destroyed my custom plugin categories.
I needed to re-make and categories 'my favourites' as the current 16.1.1 build is unworkable when you have hundreds of plugins - the list scrolls at a snail pace, with no typing search/filtering as in Reaper.
Anyway, I now can't find a way to do it. Why?
To be honest I'm pretty much infuriated (I used SF for ~20 years), I have work to do, can't locate plugins fast enough and when I do, more often than not the GUI does not load or the plugin crashes.

Soundfx,
I'm with you. Ver. 16 is so frustrating. I'm sticking to ver. 15.0 for now. All though I also have ver. 16 installed but up to ver. 16.0 bld. 106 only. In this version you can still organize your favs. The developers pretty much screw up the screw up in many builds of ver. 16.0. In the latest version 16.1.0.11 (latest) - try this to organize your favs: Click FX Plug-ins -> Apply Plug-in Chain -> Fx+ (Add Plug-ins to Chain) -> Plug-in Chooser - from there you can re-build your favs. I hope this will help.
Magix changed the plug-in Fx (Plug-in) Favorites> Organize. It is now refereed to as the "Plug-in Manager" which is in the 'View' menu. A keyboard shortcut can be created though. IMO, there are way to many categories which makes it confusing to set up your favorites. However, plug-ins can be opened directly the manager though, which was previously not possible in the former "Organize" UI. That said, SFP-16.1 is unusable for me as well due to the 32 bit third-party plug-ins display bug, which means, having both 32 and 64 bit plug-ins in SFP-16 is not possible. A Catch 22 scenario, my go-to 32 bit plug-ins cannot be used in the x64 version, and 64 bit plug-ins will not run in the x86 version.

Thanks for your help! I searched the manual for the previous term used and found nothing. I would have never expected to find what I was looking for in 'view'.
Hope they sort out the plugin/interface drawing issues now.
FINALY starting to put most of my lost (misplaced, etc) together, holding on to them is the tricky part. I thought i lost them for sure (close to 20,000 loops). Now if i can find those 15 to 18 Songs it took me 12 years to make (Really only a few thousand hours) who's counting right lol.
It is usually recommended to have 'important' files on three (3) drives with at least one of them at another location.. a 'cloud drive' for instance, not sync'd to the main PC so if it is deleted or altered by mistake, it remains.
Installed Sound Forge Pro 16. It will not accept my Workspace from 15 pro, It shows my FX Chains from 15 but when I select a chain to load, it loads only the first effect (not all three or four), and the name above (Chain name) appears as (untitled) instead of my chain's name, which is no longer in the list but an (untitiled) is in its place. I went back to 15 and all is well. What's up with 16 not loading FX Chains?
One of the many issues with SFP-16. Magix is working on this and the other issues We are hoping the issues will be fixed in a SFP-16 update (or SFP-17). I am also using SFP-15, in my case because third-party 32 bit plug-ins' display is 80% hidden.
Magix is sending me all sorts of offers to upgrade from SFPro 15 to SFPro 16 especially now Black Friday is very near. But since I would have exactly the same problem that @rraud has with his 32 bit and 64 bit plug-ins I won't be buying. The suggestion that fixes for this might even have to wait to SFPro 17 is incredible. What a hopeless mess - this fundamental problem should be solved with weeks at most.
Third-party 32bit VST plug-ins display and work as they should in the SFP-16 (x86) version, but you can not use any 64bit plugs in the x86 version. (Catch 22)
Like so many here, I took advantage of "Black Friday" pricing on Sound Forge Pro 16 Suite (16.1.2). I have really come to rely on Sound Forge for game audio effects as it does some things so much faster and more easily than WaveLab 11 (which I also own). I previously had version 15 installed.
On version 16, the "Auto Preview" button just simply will not work (I rely heavily on this for previewing from thousands of source files). No matter what I try. It also won't save the Auto Preview state (on or off) between sessions. Worked perfectly in 15. Nothing has changed on my Windows 11 system, except uninstalling 15 and installing 16.
Fortunately, the spacebar will work for previewing, but all in all this upgrade is pretty disappointing, especially when it breaks existing behavior. Not at all worth the upgrade price (already owned Spectra Layers). Wondering if anyone else has run into this...?
@audiogamefxHi @audiogamefx, I am not sure what you mean by "preview state"? Are you referring to the plug-in 'Preview' button or the 'Auto play' in the 'Open' window? Both of which behave as expected on my PC.
If you have SFP-15, reinstall that.. until Magix fixes the bugs. FWIW, uninstalling a previous version of SF is not necessary when upgrading (or downgrading). Multiple versions will coexist without issue.
@rraud Thanks for the reply! Sorry for the confusion. By "state" I meant the "state of being on or off" of the Auto Preview button in the Explorer. I wasn't aware you could install different versions on the same machine at the same time. I'll try that... until Magix fixes the bugs... 😀 Thanks again!
