I like to say thank you for your great feedback. We have taken all that into the development team and already fixed most of the issues. We will release a hotfix update in about 3 -4 Weeks after some more testing.
If you find more issues, please be so kind and post them here :)

Hi. Don't forget to fix Preset Untitled and MP3 Mono issues.
Finally as there is a German translation for SFP16 that i am aware of (Basically a good thing) my key command from English versions cannot be imported. The German version needs to be configured cpmpletely new. That is really an annoying PITA. I jave a lot xustomized commads. Moreover I wonder how my own scripts are affected. It's always the same. MAGIX declares a handful of features an expepensive major update but some of these features are mot seriously thought out.
Triple click does not work as before. Now I have to cjick four times very fast to select a region, The first item in the configuration's edit tab is deactivated and the double click speed on Windows is default,

Earlier versions of SF did not have this annoyance. With SF-16 (both AS and Pro), it is necessary to double-click abnormally fast to select a region and the double-click windows configuration setting has little affect. I think the Magix developers are aware of the issue and will be resolved in the next update.
The implementation of Soectralyers 8 ARA simply does not work. Any attempt crashes SL8 and I have to start SFP16 again due to an message about an unknown media type.
The Sound Forge Normalize tool is not a plug-in. There are third-party normalizer plug-ins for free and otherwise if you really need to have it in a chain.
Any attempt crashes SpectrLayers 8 and I have to start SFP16 again
That is probably an issue with SLP-8. SLP-7 works as a ARA plug-in with SFP-16 and does not crash. Contact Steinberg or go on the pertinent Steinberg SLP forum. SpectrLayers's developer Robin Lobel is frequently on the SLP-7 forum and I think is the moderator as well.
If you are not already, aware, Steinberg acquired SpectrLayers around 2017-18. Sony (SCS) was the original publisher of SpectrLayers.
Hi, I just bought Sound Forge Pro 16 because I was very interested in the LUFS normalization feature that was advertised. However, it does not let you choose a custom range. I am using the Amazon, Spotify, and YouTube standard of -14 LUFS (ITU-R BS.1770-4). Someone suggested Ozone, but I've tried that and don't like it. If this can be done during a normalization process, that is my preferred way of adjusting for volume.
I set the path for tne custom folder in the output settings as I set a file suffix but using this batch SF16 gives me a message box asking if I want to overwrite the original file. That mskesno sense. Further the text in this message box is truncated and buttons are hidden.
The message box issue is in the preset management too in the batch converter if I want to overwrite an existing user preset. I cannot see the buttons. Sigh…
I'm using SF 16 build 79 64 bit under Windows 10. Using a Motu 828 mk3 interface and the Motu Asio driver. The PC is i7-6700 3.4 GHz with 16GB RAM. I'm having problems with playing mp3s. I have a wav file and it plays back correctly - no clicks. I save that file as 320 kbps mp3 and then re-open it. The file then plays back with sporadic clicks - sometimes a few clicks in 10 sec other times only one click per minute or less. The position of the clicks varies. Sometimes it's repeatable, sometimes not. If I play that same mp3 file back on another player there are no clicks - so the file itself is OK. So it seems to be an issue playing back mp3s. I've also observed the same issue playing back other mp3s which have been created by earlier version of Sound Forge.
The "message box sizing issue" seems to be a issue with windows scaling, When I saw it my system had a default scaling factor of 100%. I set it now for my convenience to125% and the sizing of SFP's message box looks fine now. - I keep an eye on it.
But there is another issue I encountered. Sometimes my customized key commands don't work and I get the old default functionality or mo reaction instead. When I restart SFP everything works again. I had this a few times the last days.

Assuming the encoded MP3s playback normally in other playback devices, try enabling "Always proxy compressed formats" in the "Options> Preferences> General" menu.
If you using Sound Forge to further edit MP3s, always stay in the PCM format for editing to maintain quality. When editing is complete, then encode lossy files (MP3 and such) for the end users.
Regarding your interface, you can try another driver, non-ASIO if possible, ASIO is usually only needed with multi-track applications.

Thanks for your suggestion. I've just tried ticking "Always proxy compressed formats" and that didn't change the behaviour. I still get the same click. (Right now I'm getting a repeatable click a few sec into a particular mp3 I'm playing. It doesn't occur with this file for two other players I just tested, only SF 16 so far.) Re your other points - I only use mp3 for saving. I always stay in PCM for editting. I've also tried other drivers and there's no change in behaviour.
Try increasing the audio playback buffers numbers and/or size - clicking in audio on playback would indicate the computer is struggling to process the audio.
