What is the fastest way to burn multiple copies (say 20) of a project to DVD?

I made a football highlight reel and I want to burn multiple copies.  My old editing program would render the project once and I could continually feed it blank DVD's and burn a new copy in minutes.  I have MEP 2014 Plus and I can't figure out how to do this.  Any tips would be appreciated.

jeff3,

Probably the easiest is to do your first output not directly to disc, but to the 'image recorder' option which creates a 'disc image' (.iso) and a set of files (.BUP, .VOB etc)) which can then be burnt to multiple DVDs. See this thread for more detail:

Hi

As Carl says use the image recorder option, then burn muliple copies using Nero, Roxio or Imgburn (freeware) and burn the ISO image - it is quicker than burning the VOB's, IFO's etc.

Another option if you are going to be doing this regularly and your computer is not a laptop, is to add another DVD or BD burner to your computer and use a program like Nero which can burn to multiple drives at once.

Hi,

The first step is to check your disk, burn one disk directly and check it for menu and error link. After create a disk image of your project (iso files) and use Nero or Roxio or any similar program to burn your copy to DVD. If you need to build a setup using 2 DVD recorder at the same time this is possible but you need to use 2 identical brand name of DVD burner also check to update the bios inside the DVD burner to exactly the same level. If you need more production you can buy a DVD burner tower or Blu-Ray tower to burn 2 to 11 disk at the same time. Check on the web to find equipment and buy it completely assemble avoid to build yourself the tower.

Hi

@YR

. . . . but you need to use 2 identical brand name of DVD burner . . . .

Using Nero 12 I disagree. I have used   1 x LG DVD, 3 x Pioneer DVD (two different models) and 1 x Sony DVD writer  - all internal  - simultaneously  to burn a large batch of discs.

. . . update the bios inside the DVD burner, . . .

Agreed - each writer firmware must be able to recognise the discs being used in order to set the burning parameters correctly,  Older writers may need the firmware updating for newer discs.

Hi,

All builder recommand to use Pionner DVD or Blu-Ray burner. Many use oem PIonner version but the name on is different and made by Pionner. I agree with you John that we can mix different burner brand name.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for the tips and replies.  I ended up accidentally finding a solution.  Rather than push the Flaming Disc (Burn) button, I pushed the "Encode in Directory" button.  The project rendered and then I got a successful burn message.  From that point on, I can click the Burn button and it'll burn a copy to disc in about 5 minutes. j

I also came across a speed burn dialog box by right clicking on the rendered video but I didn't experiment with it.

Thanks again everyone.
