I continue to receive this error message:
Runtime Error!
Program:...ogram Files/MAGIC/Movie_Edit_Pro_17_Plus/Videodeluxes.exe
abnormal program termination
Just installed Movie Edit Pro 17+ and each time I click the OK the program terminates. How can I repair this?

Runtime errors are not usually application errors, but windows system errors and most often related to running out of memory. That is why we ask you to provide your system specifications when asking questions. There are a couple of primary reasons for you getting this error. 1 You do not have enough RAM or System Memory to run the application. 2. You have too many applications running when you start this application and therefore there is no more memory available for this application to run or 3. Your installation is corrupted and it will not run and you need to re-install it. If I were you, I would look at number 1 first, then number 2 and as a last resort, number 3.

Thank you for the reply. I have tried all the solutions you recommended and they do not work. I found a fix on a bulletin board at computing.net by user "bstjoc" that has worked to resolve the issue. Here is the solution that worked on two computers we have each with Magix Edit Pro 17 Plus HD with the exact same runtime error message:
"Go to Programs Files\MAGIX\Music Maker 17 premium download etc.\ and double click the 'Online' folder. Now create a new folder inside the 'Online' folder and call it 'temp'. Put ALL OF THE .DLL files that you see in the 'online' folder only inside the 'TEMP' folder. Restart pc and run program. I haven't had the error pop up since!"
We have not encountered any difficulties so far with relocating the .dll files, if we do in future then we will simply redirect the application to the temp folder.

I am happy to hear that you solved the problem, and thank you for providing the solution and letting us all know how you fixed it. Next time I hear of this type of problem, I will immediately think of your answer.
I do think that you were actually having some sort of windows and or application problem in that either the OS or the App was not able to locate the .dll files in order to run the program. By putting the .dll files in a new folder, when you re-booted and ran MEP you forced both the OS and MEP to go searching for the files again which clearly were found.
Congratulations, you get 5 stars from me for researching and solving your own problem (even though I can't actually give any stars on your post) but you also get a click in the "thank you" box for coming back and telling us the answer.
