pathway not found

jjsoycrunch wrote on 10/15/2014, 2:34 PM

so here's the deal.... i need to reprogram the pathways because my files are scattered all over the place. i'd like to consolidate my clips in one location and repoint the clips to the new folder locations. I've tried re importing them but then i'll have multiples of the clip that i can't get rid of.... i've tried recreating the pathways and copying to the recreated path but this too failed. so how do I get the current sound pools out and reload them?

btw, this is with Magix Music Maker MX, version 18.0.0.42 (UDC1)....this issue happened when I added Music Maker 2014 sound pools to my program. thanks.

Hi,

I just answered a similar question in the Discussions area.

See this thread. Let me know if there is something that you don't understand.

It shouldn't matter which version that you have, you should keep most soundpools in one location. There are some that stay with the Program Data files, but not many. Just make sure that any soundpools in other locations and even those associated with MMM MX are all copied and / or moved to the location that I have indicated. Very important, make a backup of everything that is in the Soundpool location, and another one each time you add something.

Uninstalling one of the MMM programs could cause some or all of the soundpools to also be removed, something that is not at all desirable. I keep 2 backups of the entire C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common folder and subfolders just in case of a crash or accidental removal of files.

I also have a spreadsheet of the structure and names of volumes of the soundpools so that I can keep track of what I have and thus avoid inadvertently purchasing something that I already have. I can check quickly to see if something went missing.
