lower thirds plug in

I know there's been a bit of discussion about importing and creating your own lower thirds, but does anyone know of a third party plug in that allows you to simply select a style, add text and drop in a video?  I've seen them for other editing software and just curious if anyone is using any for MEP?

Hi,

There are quite a few that come with MEP2015 Plus/Premium. I have 29. Do you have all of these? If not, did you do Help, Free download?

I think that we got proDAD Heroglyph with MEP2014Plus/Premium, but I'm not sure. It has about 200 Lower Third Templates. When opened at first, select Templates. See below.

There are 183 under Lower Thirds, plus many more under Festivity, Romance and Travel.

We also have NewBlue Titler EX, but unfortunately, there are no Lower Third Templates that came with it. I didn't find any way to purchase more. I clicked on get more and it takes me to the screen to purchase Titler 4, expensive and not a plugin for MEP. However, NewBlue does have more Lower Thirds available, some free, more for purchase. You can download the free ones here. When you get them, watch a video tutorial that comes with them, like Camtasia Tutorial; the principle for MEP is the same. Nothing is automatic. You import the 3 sections of Lower Third, adjust the length and then add the text anyway that you want. I tried one using NB Titler EX. I selected the middle video part, opened Titler, add my text with fade in and fade out, saved it as a template, and now I am ready to go. The whole thing can probably be saved as a transition or effect, but I haven't tried it. This is a bit labourious, but opens up possibilities of purchasing more from NB.

I didn't look any further.

Hi

@ mbleigh

Please do not post multiple questions on the same topic - this will split the replies and lose contnuity of the thread.

MEP has a some 'lower thirds' built in - they are on the Title  tab, under Captions

You can also make your own or modify the existing ones - look at the existing ones and see how they are composed and work.

Correction to my last post, the link that I gave was for BlueFX, not New Blue. My confusion.

I have not yet found any templates that can be added to the NewBlue Title EX.
