Upgraded to V19 yesterday, now Cannot access Online Content Catalogue

Hi all, I splashed out on an upgade yesterday to Xara Web Designer Premium 19. When I try and access the Online Content Catalogue I get an error message stating: An error has been detected and logged. If the problem continues please inform customer support. Technical details: 504 jsonfolders.php 20220229:0549

The content catalogue DID however open for me when I was using the Trial version prior to purchase (that was useless too because it wouldn't let me add content without the upgrade) I'm running Windows 10.

@nicky

Please read this thread, where another user has experienced exactly the same problem. There is also a possible reason given by another moderator.

If you continue to be unable to access the Online Catalogue I suggest you email infoservice@magix.net and ask for their assistance.

Thank you Jeff. The other thread does sound like the same problem I'm having and I'm also without a solution. All I have done - literally - for this error message to appear, is to go to FILE -> Online Content Catalogue. Nothing else.I can't currently do anything at all with my site. I've uploaded the error message. I've also contacted support over 24 hours ago without a response. I was hoping someone here could help. Fingers crossed.

Hi

What you are getting is a HTTP error 504 - which means a gateway or proxy server, did not get a timely response from an upstream server that it needed in order to complete the request for the Online Catalogue

Is the issue still ongoing?

Check that the following Internet protocols in Windows are set as shown below:

Hi,

The message from Xara is to keep trying. It seems to be an intermittent thing that Xara/Magix have not figured out. Sometimes I get the catalogue, sometimes not; this morning, not. Ooops, just got it on the fifth try.

If and when you get access, under Local Design Library, make sure to download everything that you can so that it's always available on your computer.

I appreciate the help guys. I ended up restarting my PC and then it worked. Kind of. I was able to get a PayPal button into my Design Library but couldn't access it or use it once it was there. Very frustrating. In the end I got an image of a PayPal button from elsewhere online, to use as a placeholder, and then went to PayPal to get my code and got it working. I am wondering what I've paid for with Web Designer though.
