DVD's burned with MEP 2015 Plus won't play on DVD or Blu Ray

I'm trying to burn a DVD player playable movie of my nephew's wedding. Every disc I burn will not play on any DVD player or Blu-Ray player but will play on my compluter which is running Windows 7 Pro with 16 gb of ram and a terabyte of storage. It appears to burn, but won't play. The DVD players, Blu Ray players (including PS3) either say it can't process the disc or won't recognize it at all. I have verified the settings for NTSC standard prior to the burn process, and my DVD burner is set for region 1. I exported it as a MPEG2 format and burned a copy with Windows DVD maker. The resulting product worked but the quality was not great. Any ideas why MEP 2015 Plus doesn't work as it should?

Hi,

Did you check the additional settings we've suggested in earlier posts on this related subject? For example see this illustration I posted 12th December:

Possibly your project setting (press the E key) was inadvertently set to a PAL configuration? If so, and the Auto option was somehow set too, that would result in your DVD being PAL too.

Did you also follow-up the suggestions made by Jeff and Peter in this thread:

If the above 'NTSC v PAL' issue does not turn out to be the cause of your problem, I would next eliminate MEP's physical burn process. Can you successfully play the DVD folder automatically created by MEP, located in the Folder tab of Program Settings?

I never burn from MEP, which I've found unreliable. When the message appears asking me to insert a disc, I click Cancel. Then I check that the DVD folder automatically rendered by MEP plays OK. I use VLC for that. Then I finally burn it with the versatile and reliable (and free) burner ImgBurn.

Thank you, Terrypin! Imgburn allowed me to burn movies to DVD that would play on both of my Sony players.
